		<description>...Normally my G/f is an AI addict, but this year has been very different.  After a couple weeks of the tryout shows, I looked her dead in the eye and told her that I was not going to watch another minute of the show - it was clear that more than a few contestants who had no business even being let through the gates were being brought in front of the judges just to provide some very cruel and spiteful humor, and I&#039;d had enough.  She hung on for another week or two until they got to Hollywood, and then the sheer dullness of the final 24 just pretty much killed it for her.  The fact that AI is beating the hell out of the competition again isn&#039;t so much because it&#039;s so good but because everything else stinks so badly.
